Any Military Members?

Just wondering if anyone is in the military or joining soon. I am set to leave Nov.5 for the Army. Gonna be a 95 Bravo, military police:D My duty station is Ft.Lewis Washington...which might as well be on the other side of the world being that I am in VA.
So, anyone else? If so what branch and MOS. And how much you like it.

i got out of the Marine Corps last year as an E4. loved it, but i was also ready to get out.

My best friend is a Marine. He got lucky and is stationed in Hawaii. He's been in for almost 3 years and said when his enlistment is up he's getting out; something about people being too gung-ho.

I WAS....I am ex-navy....was a Mechinest Mate (nuclear propulsion mechanic). got out a LONG time ago...was an E-6, loved it....just got out because it was no place to raise a family....and I had just started one. Daddy needed to be HOME with mommy and the kiddos....not sailing the oceans blue. :{D

Did my four in the Black Cadillacs(light infantry)full-time part-time.
Now I can't stand walking ANYWHERE....;)

Navy here stationed in Oak Harbor Washington....I'm an E-4 Fleet Marine Force Hospital Corpsman....being that I'm originally from Wa. it's great for me....

Chair Force here. Been in 3 1/2 years. Signed up for 6. Hating my job. I like the military though. First couple years were rough but once you hit E-4 its smooth sailing. Annual pay raises guaranteed!

So it looks like everyone had(or is having) good times in the military. I have much respect for the other branches of service, but being an Army brat I guess my destiny was sealed at birth:) All my friends keep telling me not to go but I need to start my life...and buy stuff for my P5:evilgrin: I am actually gonna be an E-3 after A.I.T. because I had 4 years of NJROTC in high school.
I ship out on Nov. 5, turn 21 this August, which only gives me 3 months of:beer:  :chug:  :barf: :zzzzz:

Hey zuMP5, how is it out in Washington? My father was stationed there before I was born so his info isnt so current. Ive heard its really nice and that Seattle is a definte place to go. Do you know of anything around Ft.Lewis to check out?

I was in Army Recon. 19Bravo, then trained to be a 19Delta. I did this for 4 years. I left as a E5.

no way. i just moved from oak harbor in march. wasnt in the navy. but thats cool. I first lived in the apts. atalanta way. then moved out on taylor rd.

Pathfinder at first. No Delta stands for I don't have to walk everywhere anymore and Recon was the shit. I loved hunting humans!

The training sucked. It was 5 months of pure boot camp hell.

We had 4 drills and 4 sargents for 24 of us. Only 9 of us graduated. I only did it, because they offered me $10,000 to go to school

We would go out and live off the land for weeks, eating bugs and treebark.

I had a friend that was in the marines, before he left man he used to laugh and joke and all that , when he came back , I used to try and kick jokes with him and he would not even smile , I would ask him questions and he would frigin just tell me what I asked for and that's it , nothing else , there was no ,,,, ohh and while doing that ,, ohh no , he just told you your answer and that was it ,.. I was like damn man they really changed him almost like frigin brain washing ,. no offense to anyone in the army or marines and all , but if I had to join , it would be straight to the airforce
