ahhh, umm, a good mopar, is it possible?

quality wise? hell no

but this car looks like they got it right. 250hp RWD turbo(intercooled) 2.4liter 4 cylinder, with a 6 speed tranny. interior wise it has no radio, no power locks, no power windows... all race.... including race seats and 4 point race harnesses....

for $14,500, howwwwww?

to check out the release, look here http://www.dodge.com/autoshow/news_events/razor/

yes, but the miata is a. about 5-10k more and b. slower, then the s2000 you're looking at 20k or more price diffrence, and not much if any power diffrence. price wise this car is in a totally diffrent class, and it cant really be compared to many cars. thats what makes it so cool, so fast, and so cheap.

I like it. The color wouldn"t be my first choice but a turbocharges car brand new for less then 15000. Thats got to be a first.

Where have you been? thats old. it was at some car shows in January.

Sir Nuke Sep 3, 2002 01:23 PM

it looks okay....and I am sure it would perform pretty nice too...but its a concept....and I wouldn't go holding my breath on that ever seeing production or the street.....just like the Pontiac Solstice

Personally....when it comes time for me to have that two seater that will eat V-8s from sun up to sundown....I will spent the 14.5K on a Beck 550 Spyder, and put my own engine in it....nothing like having a 1250 pound car with 200 HP!

azrakain Sep 4, 2002 01:02 AM

actually the solstice has recieved the OK for production. It will be 2-3 years before we see it though. I beleive the Razor was up for serious production consideration...let's hope so.

yeah I know....they were smart when they put it together in the first place...with that intention from the begining...and used MANY existing pontiac parts....which greatly reduces the cost of a NEW car....not having to redesign the wheel so to speak......its an awsome roadster......I hope it truely makes it.....AND stays in the cost range they predicted....20K.
