After 24hrs, I am now able to talk about it...
Yesterday I awoke to find my Side-view mirror dangling along the driver's door from the electrical harness (mirror).
There does not appear to be any other damage other than a cracked mirror base. Unfortunately mazda currently offers a complete mirror assembly is available as a special order from your local mazda dealership. I gave www.mazdastuff.com a call, and my total for a complete mirror assembly is $77.00 w/my Protege Owners Discount : ) After 24hrs, I am now able to talk about it... hoping for a a better week, manny 2002.5 P5 awaiting replacement mirror A P5 is to be appreciated, NOT vandalized. |

No need to apologize,
I found that many Dealers offer Special Rates to autoX and carClub members, they just normally don't volintier this info. Whenever I order parts for my 240z, I always mention that I belong to a local Zclub : "don't talk about Zclub" in SF When I told mazdaspeed that I belong to the protege owners club I was referring to www.protegeclub.com This excellent Site Is like a P5 club...an Internet club. In seattle the metro buses drive quite close to the sidewalk...many a times I have seen them clip cars that were parked on the side of the road.:mad:

I remember my friend had his taurus mirror smacked, which had color-coded mirrors, and the dealer charged an arm and a leg to paint it. (he also paid for the installation, etc., I don't think he even owns a screwdriver!) where I live mirrors get smacked every weeked. I guess cause it's a college community, meaning there are a lot of drunk students smashing things, hehe |
