About to go postal

Allright, since alot of people on here are really cool about listening to people bitch, here ya go:

I am about ready to kill the next person who comes through the door and wants me to replace something they bought 15 fu@king years ago or someone that tries to talk me down in price. Do I walk into their jobs and make a goddam hassle out of everything? No, cause I am not a prick. I work for a national chain store, and they don't let us change prices!!!! When was the last time you walked into Wal Mart and got all your stuff, went to the front counter and tried to talk down the price of the damn socks you just picked out. Jesus!! Between that and constantly being belittled by snoby pieces of crap, somone might have to find out the hard way how much of a dick they are being. Also, why does everyone sit on their fat asses at home and call from 2 blocks away to see if I have a fucking battery in stock. They then get pissed when I tell them to call back because I am busy with customers. Tell ya what next time those fucking assholes feel the need to call me they could at least do me the favor of telling me when to have extra staff on hand just to awnser the damn phone. Also, if you need to use something for a while withour planning to keep it, go to fucking Rentway to get your shit. Otherwise, stop taking money out of my check and returning shit cause you realized you can't afford it when you get home. If I buy something I plan on keeping it, not using it for a while and then returning it cause I don't need it anymore!! WTF!!

Thank you for letting me rant, and if this pisses you off, I really could care less. It's Friday and some people need to be shot.

SEA_P5 May 30, 2003 08:22 PM

Totally hear ya buddy...I get calls once in a while of people trying to get their money back after they used the items for a while...What they heck! You bought the 60 inch Flat Screen HDTV 3 months ago and you want to now return it, because you can not afford your credit card bill? Heck No...essentially they think that they can buy some 3K TV and return it later (after the Super Bowl).

Sorry buddy, we sell stuff, not rent.

yeah i have to deal with stupid people everyday.. i hate all.. whenever i rely on someone to do something.. they ALWAYS screw it up.. i can't trust anyone to do anything.. ppl are useless

Haha, I have the same problem. I just got a job at Sears and I work in the tool dept. It seems like everyone and their mother comes up there with their 15 year old drill, trying to exchange it for a brand spanking new one because something broke. Sure, Craftsman has a lifetime warranty - BUT ITS ONLY ON THE HAND TOOLS! I mean come on, what company is going to warranty a power cordless drill?! They would go out of business!

shackmgr6073 May 31, 2003 09:57 AM

Wow, I kind of figured that would piss some people off. I am still waiting for that response.

as for that phone man just dont pick it up when your busy, they can call back if its that damm important

where do you work?

I manage a RadioShack store. I love it there. It is fun, but also it keeps you busy when corporate wants you to move the whole store around about every month.

"This job would be great if it wasn't for the damn customers"

When i worked at cracker barrel i always loved the idiots that would order something eat the whole thing, then say it was crap and not want to pay for it. i wonder if i had brought them a plate of dog crap they wouldve ate the whole thing before they realized it was crap.

That's very american and it's one of the things that really made an impression on me when I first came to the US.

In my country the store is always right, you can return a product to get an exchange only if it's defective and even in that case it can be a real hassle. Before I came to the US I couldn't conceive returning a product just because I didn't like it, I grew up knowing that I really had to make sure that it was the right product before I bought it and that if I didn't like it or it didn't work the way I thought it would, I'd be SOL.
I love the fact that in the US Ill almost always be satisfied with what I buy and I try not to abuse it by buying stuff that I know I'm going to return later, trying to return something that doesn't work because I screwed up and stuff like that, but I have to admit that I've done it a few times.

In my country we have a saying, I don't know if it will make sense or not but Ill try and translate it the best I can:
"Give someone your litle finger to help them and theyll try to rip your whole arm off"

I'm so glad I don't work retail/service anymore. I'm extra-nice to store clerks, just because I know it's such a thankless job. And managing a store has to be a hundred times worse because you have to deal with all the imbeciles that your employees don't want to. Hang in there, man.

And JAC, I think the equivalent in the USA would be "give them an inch, and they'll take a mile." It's true here, too.

hey shackman ..... do you got any of those little tiny batteries like go in watches? and I will only give you a buck for one if you do....

LOL :{D

I feel the same way to computer techs.
