What does that POS actually do on the car? I assume it does nothing...but can it hurt the car? BTW, I am NOT even considering buying one and I never will!

well somethign like that.. its a 30? resistor, its designed to trick the MAF or somethign into thinking the air is colder than it really is and advanceing the timing.. its really gay.. and i think it can hurt your car in some situations..

Me and a couple of buddies bought one of these awhile back to see what it was for a buy it now of like $2.50 It is just that a resistor that you supposdly hook up on the, not sure of the name some 2 wire combo plug on the throttle body and just loop with the resistor a couple of wires which sounds really good to do to a engine. We never tried it as it is still taped to the paper instructions. Its just like on another thread here that the Electric supercharger would work IN theory it will work until you factor in the fact that the size of the fan would have to be enormus and eat up all your power. |
