2nd nail in tire in 2 weeks!
 

WTF is up with me and flat tires?? tonite i was driving home from work and i hear a sustained repeated thumping noise and immediately thought FLAT TIRE!!! i was so angry, i pulled over into a well lit parking lot and looked around but didnt find anything. continued home and i could still hear it. i got home and took a flashlight to my tires and didnt find anything. i backed the car down the driveway a little and searched again and there was the sumbt!ch. 2 weeks ago i drove near the debris of an accident and again i heard the repeated thumping noise and surprize it was a nail! both this time and the time before the tire was still inflated, but there is a huge nail sticking out of the tire. last year i blew 4 flats on the old protege, 2 in a one month time span, in totally different tires. i dont get it. i dont live in a bad neighborhood, at work we all park in a parking garage, i dont drive through bags of nails on a regular basis. i swear either god is mocking me or satan is toying with me. my mom seems to think there is a vandal running around attacking only my car. i dont know who is mentally deranged enough to follow me to work and hide around my home and plant "time-release" nails into my tires so that they screw up my car at different times during the drive home. i'm taking the car in to NTB in the morning. if i hit any more nails in the next year i'm selling the car and taking a taxi :rant:

That's some bad luck, dude. And only a Mom would would say what yours said. That's pretty funny.

well they couldnt patch it. the nail is less than an inch away from a previous repair and it was too close to the sidewall anyway. they didnt have the OEM dunlops, but they did have goodyear eagle rs-a in stock for $160 each. i read on tirerack.com that they were mediocre at best so i went around town looking for cheaper/better tires. nobody had any tires that fit, so i wasted 20 minutes. i went back and bought 2 for the axle and had a free alignment check; altogether $480 including install & alignment of front/rear. for that price i should have bought the 17" wheels and 205/45/17 tires that came with them off ebay for $500 (my last post in tires/wheels tech). i'm 2hrs late for work and posting this ^_^; but i look around tirerack.com and 17" tires that get better reviews are cheaper!! man that will be my first upgrade when the weather gets warmer - wheels and better tires.

hey when your done with your car, i can always sell you mine.
the thing that might get you is the tires hav never been popped
but the motor is clanking, one busted lens for headlight and turn signal (drivers side), dent in the hood, 2 doors, and left fender(minor damage, drivers side), inside you just have no sterio (deck). other than that everything is fine the speakers are still in (not stock speakers)
