28 weeks later...

seen it?
i think it is scary...not in the sense of HORROR but in the sense that it might be possible.
now days with the biological weapons and 1000's of deseases without cure....just imagine!

discuss

i saw it yesterday and it's NOT possible. Disease and stuff is scary but a disease that causes people to become undead and rapidly infect others is pure fiction.

I liked the movie a lot but I didn't like the directors use of noise...

1 minute he'd try to show you how alone everyone was in the country by having NO noise....then 2 seconds later some zombies run over the hill and it's so loud you're having to cover your ears.

I can't believe what happened to the solider.

i don't think they just die and come back to life...i think the virus takes over and basically reders the person unconsious thus making him act wihtout thinking following our most basic instinct to eat..
i remember in 28 days later that 6 months after that the people died of starvation...so they must have been ALIVE to die....

maybe not a virus in which it makes you EAT people but a virus that kills your brain and is as contaigious as the virus in the movie

sounds similar to stephen kings The Stand. I have not watched a horror flick in forever... wife doesnt like 'em

Alejo_NIN May-15th-2007 01:45 PM

i drag my wife to this things....she hates them too..but also can't stop talking about them afterwards...WTF?

anyways

i did have a dream about zombies that night

So was the movie better than the first one at least?

Of course 'that' disease isn't gonna happen, but an epidemic certainly is. How many plagues in past human history do we need to remind us of that possibility?

I need to see this. I liked 28 days later a lot, and from what I've been told (via a roommate who read a couple reviews somewhere) it is easily as good as 28 days later :)

Roddimus Prime May-15th-2007 09:44 PM

i liked the first one better....action was better in 2 though.

I didn't care for the first one really, thought it was too contrived and main characters that I couldn't care less if they lived or died.

Alejo_NIN May-16th-2007 06:55 AM

i think the fact that it is mostly unknown actors makes the movie that much interesting. you actually pay attention to the movie and since there aren't known actors you don't know who will survive

What he said. :withstupi

Unknown or not, big names or not .... doesn't matter to me. But key to a movie catching your interest and making you remember it is lead characters that you care about. Another perfect example was Babel - I simply didn't give a shit about all the leads in that movie, even though it was shot beautifully, I simply didn't care.

in other words, 28 weeks later was a good movie then, since your comments are directed towards the first which is beyond the scope of this thread....

anyways

resident evil is comming out in the fall

Necrophelia? Haha, just kidding man.

RE3 is gonna be bad shit, I can't wait either. I've played absolutely every RE game since it came out on PS1 wayyy back in the day so I'm a big fan of the RE saga. The movies aren't an exception, I loved them just as much as the games but the next one looks really badass!!!
