$100 off WOMP kit with (2)old blankets!

Ok, every year my wife and I volunteer at our local homeless shelter and this year we're in dire need of blankets. We're expecting a very cold winter (cold for alabama anyway) and do not have hardly any blankets left over from previous years. What I'm offering is $100 discount on my WOMP supercharger if you would ship us at least 2 old blankets to be donated. They would need to be large enough to cover at least one person...no sending in handkercheifs or anything. If you're not considering my supercharger as a future purchase I'd still like to ask you to donate a blanket anyway.

If you don't have any spares in your home I'd suggest looking at local thrift stores or consignment shops. Also asking neighbors is a great way to get stuff.

If you're going to donate just pm me for my contact info.

Thanks.
Matty

sounds good Matty. I won't be getting the SC obviously but I'll see if I can come up with a blanket or two

that would be great. Any donation is appreciated but blankets are in short supply this year.

awesome, It's appreciated guys. A lot of people down here are not prepared for cold at all. When I went to Dave's I only had like 4 long sleeve shirts in my whole closet!

what's your definition of cold down there. It's 26F here and I still haven't worn a coat yet. I was scraping the frost of my truck this morning with just a long sleeve shirt on and I wasn't the least bit cold.

I'll see what I can find...we are currently going through one of those "throw things away" phases anyway...I'd rather donate than throw away :)

Thanks Karen...like I said in the other forum...anything helps...sweatsuits jackets anything but blankets are always needed.

Today it is about 40* highs with lows in the 20s...my car was iced for the second time since I've owned it....the first was in Ohio at DaveB's.

that does seem kinda cold for the south. what are normal temps?

Roddimus Prime December-3rd-2004 09:54 AM

during the winter it's usually right around 50-60. Last year christmas was 72*...perfect room temperature.

Hey, I've been busy lately and had forgotten about this, but is there a specific date you need the blankets by? I remebered this and should be able to get few together, so if theres a date, I'll try to get these there in time. Thanks!
