Lake George - Any tips ??
 

My girlfriend wants to go to Lake George. Some of her friends went there and told her it is amazing. Now shes bugging me constantly, asking me to setup things so that we could go there.


I have no idea though how this Lake George thing works. So I figured, I'll ask the NYS guys about it.


Any tips/suggestions are really welcome.


I wanted something to spend the weekend. Nothing luxurious but decent.

Go in August and drive a half hour south to Saratoga and watch the thoroughbreds race.

I believe there is a Revolutionary-War era fort at each end of Lake George, if that's your thing.

They've got steamboats that drive around on the lake, but I never been on one.

I have some pics of up there somewhere on my damn pc...

just a big town with a beach and a nice mountain like area that you can have a picnic at... If I can find the pics somewhere I will send em to ya .. I think they are on my pc at home or online somewhere .. I don't even know
