Insurance rates in NY (staten island) ?

I checked online on Geico and they want $1800 for 6mths for my 2002 Protege????

What company you guys are with and how much you guys do you pay?

I'm 26, not married. Can't be that expensive! That price sounds like i'm an 18 yr old driver that just got his licence yesterday!!

In the 5 boroughs insurance, is going to be expensive.
I use new york central mutual and the rates are very cheap ,
but then my address is way up in the suburbs...

would you like the phone number for my broker .. and you can just tell them that I (Bruce Scott ) refered you .

because that is a lot of money for a car insured for 6 months ... you would think you were 14 ...

I would've been paying $4500-$6000 a year, in Staten Island, if I registered my car in NY. I have it registered in MA, but my license is still NY (getting a full time job soon, so will convert the license when that settles).

Of course, this is new car, male, under 23, 1 year on the license, no alarm.

Wow. Shocking to think that you could actually buy another brand new Protege with the amount you pay for insurance (after paying 2-3 years)!

Well this is because of your track record...
I had my license since 16 and I am 25 ...

After doing some research, I found this:

http://www.tscinsurance.com/

Seems pretty decent rates. Anyone insured with them?
