help!! need advice
 

I found this web site by accident, so I am hoping that the Mazda Lovers and friends can help me. I have a 1991 Mazda Protege for sale, and have had a terrible time trying to sell it. I bought it in Nov. 2001 for $1900...probably paid way too much for it; This car was for my daughter who was learning to drive and fell in love with the car. Its a great car, black with a sunroof, (sunroof has a retraction problem), nice interior; 116,000 miles. I've had to put some money into it because all 4 tires were bad, and the exhaust system (original) wouldn't pass inspection in June 2002.
My daughter is in college now, and the car is just sitting in the garage. I personally can't afford to keep it . I have tried since September to sell the car, have had a lot of lookers, no takers. I was asking $2400 for it, but would be happy to get $2000. Maybe I should just keep it until she's done with school....but thats 3 years away.
Any help would be appreciated.

maybe cause your asking a lot of money 2000 for a 91 with over 100K ,, I honestly think you could get 1500 or less , now if it had rims or something 17" or bigger I could forsee 2k ,,, try lowering your price, you have to let go of the expenses that you put in the car ...

Not too clear on this...

If you bought it in 2001, and say you probably paid too much for it...why would you be selling it for 500 more, 2 years later?

is it now a collectable? value starting to go up?

dont mean to make fun but I bought a 1991 MX-6 in 98 for 6k. Maybe I paid too much for it also........but when I sold it this pas fall, i sold it for 900 bucks, and was happy to be getting that much for it.

check ebay to get a feel for what the market will pay for one
