Has anyone around here done the J-spec headlight or the bumper mod? Those are the first two things I'm changing, so I'm wondering if anybody could help with some info.
I would maybe get the bumper, but why spend $250 on headlights? Why not get your self a custom exhaust system, and still have some money left over? Just a suggestion though, it is your money.

I wouldn't mind driving somewhere to get to meet everyone and get some new connections through the area. My car will hopefully at least have the bumper and rims by this Spring, I'm hoping at least by mid-April to have the bumper done and get started on the rims. I think anywhere north of NY would be ok. I'm going to North Carolina Jan. 23rd through the 27th with my car to see how it does on long journeys. Anybody had any problems when driving the car 1,000+ miles in 18 hours? I'm just worried about tranny heating and engine heating issues. My Pro only has 109K so I'm hoping I won't run into any issues if I change the oil and air filter before I go.

THEGOLDPRO January-6th-2003 05:17 AM

well allright its itzkcatz, thegoldpro, and new2game that want to meet in the spring, any body else????

turbonium959 January-6th-2003 10:31 AM

I will go too, didn't you see my post?

Ian - I would check and make sure that you had at least done it once : tranny flush, and coolant flush. It is very important that you have to have it done if your car has over 100K miles on it.

Also, Ian, there is new guy here name Hypro from Blaine, ME. Is he your buddy you were talking about? What is his full name, because we already have a Joe, and it might create some confusion for me.

THEGOLDPRO January-6th-2003 01:47 PM

OK SO ITZKCATZ, THEGOLDPRO, NEW2GAME, AND TURBONIUM. thats pretty weak were gonna need more than that . i would like to see the new guys come along.

new2game323 January-7th-2003 12:52 AM

His name is Joe Bell, so hopefully that will help unless the other Joe's name is Bell too. He's got a 95 DX.

I'll have to check on the tranny flush and coolant flush, I'm sure it was done when the timing belt, plugs, and wires were replaced, but it would be a good idea to check.

Well, I should probably ask this or I won't have any clue, but how do you flush the tranny? Is there a cap on the bottom of the transmission like the oil? And where do you refill the tranny fluid once you flush it?

Another thing I was wondering is what you guys are paying for custom exhausts? All I want is a 2" pipe and a nice sport muffler for a little bit more tone and some better airflow, I don't want anything bigger cuz I don't want my car to sound like a cracked out bumblebee :(
