NEELIX August-9th-2007 09:06 AM

Interested, anyway you could get this car to Mass? I am only interested if the car is perfect. If we come to an agreement and you could deliver the car I could have a cashiers check drawn up made out to you or your financial institution. You take your plates back with a Bill of Sale pay off the car and overnight the title to me once all funds have cleared of course.

Thanks
Rob

Roddimus Prime August-9th-2007 09:56 AM

no way in hell would the car leave her possession before the check clears. Not going to happen. It takes days for a check to clear the bank and in that time you could be long gone.

Bad move.

NEELIX August-9th-2007 10:09 AM

All well in good, I fully understand your concern for the seller.

Treasury checks are like cash my Credit Union has even told me you can't put a stop payment on them, it also takes time for titles to become available so she would have the money and what would I have? Just a Bill of Sale with no car. I have lived here since 1989, our house is paid for I am 47 years old DINK, which stands for dual income no kids. If she wanted cash I could do that. Just throwing it out there. Don't assume all people are crooks, even though in this world it appears that way.

Rob

I heard back from my sister (via e-mail) and she said she's really excited about the car, even though it means she'll finally be forced to learn to drive stick.. niice. I'll let you know.. dunno what she'll do though, since she works a billion hours a week and would have to sell her 02 Maxima to buy your car

Roddimus Prime August-9th-2007 10:35 AM

NEELIX, I'm not assuming you're a crook...I'm just warning the seller about the NUMEROUS scams we see on here where people offer to buy cars with checks and then disappear.

I myself have bought numerous vehicles with checks from my credit union and not had any problems but when you come on a forum with no posts and offer to buy a car with a check and are willing to take the car while she waits for the title it just looks fishy.

I personally hope you buy it and enjoy it so you'll stick around the forum.

NEELIX August-9th-2007 10:37 AM

I have been a member of the SR20deforum for years, if you have any doubts check my feedback there. One member purchased a car from me and drove all the way from Michigan to pick it up just from pictures! My user name is focus, ask user name coach anything you want. He knows I am a decent guy. A Doctor from NC also purchased my last car a mint 93 NX2000 sight unseen how's that for trust? Yeah I am 47 going on 27 still have a love for small sporty cars.

_Kansei_ August-9th-2007 10:40 AM

small cars are ftw, that's why. I don't ever want a large car (ok I wouldn't say no to a bentley arnage T even though it's a pile of crap.. but it's a ridiculously powerful and large pile of crap that I could sell and buy a bunch of small cars with the money)

Not a problem at all, talking about scams, there is one sitting in my driveway at the moment, had to threaten to sue. Go to eBay and look at the 07 Civic SI I bought, he is refunding my money but what a pain in the a**. My user name is ser-man.

mazda3chik August-9th-2007 05:33 PM

roddimus prime, thank you for looking out for me. i appreciate your concern. i'm glad there are nice, caring people in the world that look out for one another. you're right, you don't see to many of those these days!

neelix, i'm glad you're interested in the car. roddimus is right-i will not ship the car unless the cash is in my hand or the bank check clears in my account before giving the car to you. in that event, please email me to set something up if you are serious about the car. it IS in perfect condition and i'm sure you will be pleased with it.
contact me at: katiemaejohnson@gmail.com
thanks guys!

yeah, having to sell the car you HAVE to buy the car you WANT is a pain in the a$$, but if she's really serious, get back to me. i have people interested as you can see, but by the time she wants to see it or maybe even buy it, maybe it'll still be here for her.

no offense, but i hope it's sold soon...hahaha

p.s. girls that drive stick are pretty awesome :lol2:

NEELIX August-9th-2007 05:42 PM

I understand how you feel, being recently burnt on eBay myself buying a car sight unseen is now out of the question for me. LI is to far for me to drive, pay for the car wait till the check clears and drive back down to pick it up. Not going to happen.

Good luck,

Regards

Rob

mazda3chik August-9th-2007 05:52 PM

If driving is the only problem, I can always bring it to you over a weekend if you're willing to do that. Like I said, it is in perfect condition and I know you wouldn't have any problems, so that's why I am willing to drive it to you. If you would like more pictures, I would be more than happy to email them to you. I know I don't have any of the interior, so I can add those, and also of the rims, etc. Everything is in perfect condition. I'm not one to screw anyone over either and I totally understand how you feel about buying without seeing. I'm sorry you got burnt on eBay. I feel the same way about buying cars. But I absolutely can't stress enough that you WILL like the car....

let me know...

NEELIX August-10th-2007 03:42 PM

Sorry for the delay, the title for the Civic came in yesterday, had a bunch of running around to do. I am still interested and will be in touch later with an offer.

Rob

mazda3chik August-27th-2007 08:29 AM

still for sale..someone buy herrrr
she has 14,800 miles on her now. but still a baby!:p

NEELIX September-4th-2007 12:51 PM

Well finally got the refund check from my nightmare purchase on ebay.

Are you willing to drop your price substantially?

Rob

mazda3chik September-7th-2007 08:21 PM

i can't drop the price drastically because i still owe a lot on the car...

aewon September-16th-2007 10:37 PM

i want those LED tails :(
too bad i already have a 04 sedan

mazda3chik September-17th-2007 11:21 AM

haha yeahhh, they're definitely cool looking.
try ebay, maybe you can get a set for your '04..?? or if you want to spend a pretty penny, buy them from a mazda dealer

not on a cashiers check....a cashiers check does NOT take days to clear...if anything the buyer is taking the chance paying the cash without taking a title

is it just me or does this price seem a little high ??

Absolutely, that is how I got burnt on the ebay purchase. Cashiers checks are like cash.

I thought the price was a bit high myself. But if she owes to much money there is nothing she can do. Still looking for a car here, nothing yet.
