SOLD!!! :bt:

I am in Northern Georgia … north of Atlanta about 70 miles.
I am selling my dark blue 2000 Mazda Protégé ES with about 73,000 miles. It is a 5 speed standard and has no sunroof. I have been religious about doing oil changes and maintenance. The car has just had the transmission replaced and has “new” tires that have less than 5000 on them; the brakes have also just been replaced… It is ready to go.
I have the old transmission if you want it and some of the stock parts.

The car handles great and is very snappy and responsive with the mods on it. It handles as well as my dad’s SE-R Spec V. There is very little body-roll and is very tight handling. The sound system is great and has good sound quality. This car has been well taken care of; a great car for the money.
Car is very clean, washed weekly, and gets detailed almost every two months.

Asking $6,000 with all mods included.

I have done some work to it as you can see from the pictures…
-Pioneer head-unit and front speakers, Rockford Fosgate rear speakers and sub (10’ boom tube) Sounds MUCH better than stock with no distortion.
-20% tint on back and side windows with lifetime warranty
-Eibach Sportline springs that lower it about 1.5 inches and give stiffer ride
-ACT street clutch and heavy duty pressure plate with less than 5000 miles on them
-Hawk brake pads
-Cold air intake
-Muffler replaced with aftermarket one (nice deep sound, no cheesy Honda sound)
-AWR sway bar in rear (21.5mm adjustable)
-Mazda speed sway bar in front (very big bar… forgot size)
-Strut tower brace bar
-AWR engine mounts (much more solid than stock to keep wheel hop down)
-17 inch ICW racing Trident model wheels, wrapped in new Kumho 215/40R17 83 H
-JET Chips tuned ECU
-Painted engine and exhaust (to prevent rust and bad looks)
-Color matched brake calipers and drums
-MP3 spoiler and ground effects kit
-Fog lights and mesh grille
-Green LEDs under the seats with plasma sphere in back… kinda cool :)
-MOMO cobra shift knob
-Pedal covers
-Metal gauge bezel for gauge cluster
-“Mazda Speed” sun screen decals in black
-Silicone wipers … very nice, don’t know how I did without them before

The things “wrong with the car”: Of course the regular rock chips that come from driving, two chips on the spoiler, and a few small dents in the passenger side fender above the wheel well. I know that the guy that had the car before me had to replace the right front wheel and fender because of an accident.
I can’t think of anything else to mention… if you have any questions let me know; I am in college now so I have limited time… but I will get back with you. cheesetater@mindspring.com

Car looks really good. Mods and well done and very tasteful. Clean car! You have the ES so that has the 2.0 engine in yet, right? In the last picture, what is that (looks like CF) piece near the radiator? Why are you selling the car? What do you plan on driving in the Protege's place? I might have an interested party so Ill keep you updated.

Thanks for the complement on my mod choices... worked hard to make sure it was done tastfuly right. Not to over the top yet still agressive looking.

The 2000 Protege ES came with the 1.8L.

As far as the CF intake.... its not real CF. It is the cold air intake for the new filter. It works on the same principle as the stock one by gathering fresh air from the front of the hood and grille. It is all open in front to allow for increased air flow... and it has a duct to the fender on the bottom for extra air.

As far as why I am selling... I am looking to upgrade to a turbo car... a WRX or a SRT-4 with about 300 hp. :bt:

Or you could keep this one and turbo it...or WOMP it.

I say WOMP it!

Unfortunatly, you can't get the HP I want out of a 1.8L... so I am upgrading to a different car... not just adding bolt-ons to my car.

u can get the horsepower u want out of anything if u have the money to spend!
