indeed! a bit more practical than the rx-8 hydrogen-hybrid

Meh. I'm not impressed. I'd take a turbo-diesel over any gasoline-electric, hydrogen fuel cell, ethanol, what have you any day of the week.
|
^^ exactly.
The VW GX3 will probably be my next gasoline powered toy. 46mpgs and 1.25 lateral G's....yes please. Oh wait? all for less than $17K?? I'll take 2. my next beater will either be a TDi or possibly a Capri XR2 or 323gtx. |

yeah, they can be a little rough sometimes but we don't hardly notice anymore with ours. The only time we smell it now is we jump out of the car after shutting it off and run to the back to get stuff out of the hatch.

....hydrogen..:(

There is a rotary engine links to a Mazda- which is a developed hybrid unit known as its nose. There are also two fuel tanks: gas beneath the rear seat (a battery array also resides there), and a hydrogen tank in the back, replacing the third row of seats. In the Bi-fuel version of the compact Mazda, there are two-rotor Wankel engine allowing its operation with hydrogen or gasoline. The hydrogen tank with 110 liters at 350 bar stores up to 2.4 kilograms of hydrogen and is in addition to the 60 liter petrol tank.
