long drive mileage report
Recently drove the car on a 2000km road trip. 2006 GT w/auto.
Sorry for those of you that aren't on metric like us Cdns up north. Just do the conversion. I was able to use 2 runs for a consumption reading. Both runs were up to 1/2 tank basically when I filled up and came up with the values. 8.4L/100kms and 9.3L/100kms. Both times I was cruising at 120kms/hr or 75mph with the A/C on most of the time. Car had 3 passengers and wasn't heavily weighted. Overall, very impressed with it's performance. I do think better tires are in order. Brakes take some getting used to. The auto lights and wipers are a nice touch. Very happy with this car so far. |
The M5 has 3 tire options in Canada. Toyo's, goodyears and dunlops. The Toyo's I have are pretty good in the dry and wet with reasonable limits. The goodyear's on my friends car are terrible. I have not heard anyone with the Dunlops.
