Speed 3 STS
 

hey guys... i've looked around and i dont know if i over looked it or if its just not here, but im looking for either the best site to get a Short throw shifter for my 07 Speed3, and whats the best or recommend brand for it....

i came across this and was wondering if this would fit our model speed3 cause if im correct the Axela is the jap version of the speed 3....

i thought the axela was just the foreigh version of the 3 perion not just the ms3... on that note i think they will all fit cause after all it is still just a boosted m3 right so one would think "most" not all but most would be interchangeable and i would think it would work

Well it also has a 6-speed instead of a 5-speed.. so specifically in that specific area who knows how much is totally interchangeable.

ah yes i forgot but you would think the shifter would not change that much seems just a diff knob would be in order..idk ill keep checkin in for an exact answer

while im not an expert on TWM products, i am to believe that the mazdaspeed3 uses a different shifter all together than the mazda3. because the tranny in the speed3 is lifted from the speed6, there are 6 gears and a reverse to worry about. TWM just came out with their speed6 short throw "adapter" (note its not a rod shifter like the normal mazda3 or 6) and one hopes the speed3 will be soon.

yes... i have called TWM and they said that they are designing a STS for the speed3 but its still in the works, they said maybe a few months...

i had a question; my friend insists his speed3 has a long throw. everything ive read says its a shorter throw than the normal mazda3. he came from an acura rsx which had a short and precise shifting action and you did sit lower and closer to the transmission tunnel compared to the mazda. is he right about the long throw or is he just used to his rsx?
