Mobil 1 0w-20 Advanced Fuel Economy in the Mazda3 OK?
I just bought a black 2009 Mazda3 4 door 2.0. It is my 1st car ever. I like it a lot. When I bought it, I immediately put Mobil 1 5w-20 in it (wanted to take out the cheap oil).
When I was at the part store the other day, I saw Mobil 1 Advanced Fuel Economy 0w-20. It said warranty protection for Mazda on the bottle. Is it ok to use this oil in my car? Also, is it optimal? Or should I stick with the 5w-20 synthetic? Thanks. Edit: I live 20 miles from Chicago, if it helps to know the weather the car lives through. |
"Is it ok to use this oil in my car?"
Yes - I bring amsoil 0w-20 to the dealer on my oil changes and they have no problem putting it in. does not void the warranty and it actually better than 5w-20 since it lubricates more on start up in the winter. here is the link to amsoil if interested http://amsoil.com/ I know shameless plug but I got 2 mpg better in the city when I switched to amsoil. Now I only wish them made an oil filter for the 2.3 engine. Anybody know of a long life oil filter for the 2.3 engine? |
