AT Light and check engine light on
 

I’ve been having an issue with my AT light. It came on one night and then the next day it was off. I checked my fluid it was normal color and I added some more because it was low. It was fine for a couple days and now the light is back on and the check engine light came on this time. I’m still learning about cars and don’t really know what else to do or how to fix it. Please someone help!

1. Post what year and model 3 your are talking about.

2. Use scan tool to determine what DTC's (codes) are present

I'd guess when this happens both CEL and AT lights are lit and car will only shift to 3rd, won't get to 4th or 5th (assumes 5 speed auto).
