few questions

hey everyone.

first question, i'm considering new cams for my '04 mazda 3 sedan 2.3L...these ones specifically: http://www.horsepowerfreaks.com/perf.../3/Engine/Cams

since i'm not the most car savvy, but i know a little, i thought i'd ask before doing anything more than think about it. my 3 is naturally aspirated with AEM cold air intake, NGK iridium spark plugs, and Magnaflow cat back exhaust. i've got several other performance upgrades picked out that are really no-brainers, but cams from what i know can be tricky. any help is appreciated.

second question, my engine bay is pretty dirty, any ideas on the best way to clean an engine/engine bay and everything in the area?

thanks!!

I'm not sure what the stock cam is ground at, but is this one just more lift? You have to find someone that would know if the adjustable cam timing that's in the engine now will work properly or cause some unusual operation with a different cam design.

The website should have some calculations on how much power the cam will give you as well, they should have enough information to figure that all out - and that may determine your willingness to take on the project if it was say only 10hp for so much time & effort vs getting 30hp which could be worth the $1000 total cost.
I assume the cost of the cam at $680 and then you may need valve springs for the performance of the cam, as well as gaskets etc...
