Dying while Driving
I have a 04 base model 3 with a 5sp manual trans. 18x,xxx miles, been running great until a few days ago.
While on the gas and driving, the car, as i assume, dies while going down the road. It jerks forward like a stall, but because i am at speed and the car is in gear, it restarts itself. I checked the battery, alternator, and injectors. No luck there. I bought the car a year and a half ago. Since then, its had a P0466(I believe, can remember off the top of my head) engine light on. The code reads evap emission control vale circuit malfunction. This has been on for over a year, so i dont think thats the problem. I still get 30+ MPG. Please any help would be much appreciated! |
Possible that this happens over a bump or something? Could have a bad ignition switch / ignition relay / fuse.
