2012 Mazda 3 2.5 CAI Suggestions
:xyxwave:
Hey guys brand new to the forum and a brand new owner of a 2012 M3 2.5L. I've had the car for about 3 weeks now and have absolutely fallen in love. So much in love, in fact, that I want to start adding some mods. I figure the easiest mod to start with is a cold air intake. I've been doing research and found many different styles of CAIs and right now I'm leaning towards a Simota CBII-658. Some questions for you veterans out there: Is that CAI a good choice? What other suggestions do you have? Will that intake get me good performance and sound, or should I go with a different form of CAI like the one AEM puts out? Thanks in advance for your help! :D |
Injen, K&N, Takeda. I personally like the Injen because it is convertible to short ram. Get it here http://www.crossoverauto.com

I've heard K&N is the loudest. The Simota has the cf wrap which acts like a heat shield so it's just as good. The conflict is you said cold air intake (cai). The Simota and K&N are a short ram intake (sri). I have a 2.0 so I dont know what alls available for the 2.5. But I will say this: All intakes are about the same. If one intake was significantly better, everyone would have that one.
