2.3 to 2.0 engine swap
3 Attachment(s)
Hey folks,
I'm new here and I want to talk about a little project I'm starting right now ;) I'm a freak always building some crazy shit in is garage (300zx with RB26 engine, mods rotary engine, tercel with nissan engine, etc) and last week a guy went to my job with a 2004 Mazda 3 2.3L full full full (leather, electric windows, doorlock, sunroof, etc).... After a little inspection why the car won't start I found a hole in the engine :p Hooooooo poor me I was able to buy it for 300$ :laugh2: So I started to look for an engine to but it back on the road (I'm tired of my non-electric fuck all junk protege my brother give me back in the days :p) After some call I was shocked.... WHAT THE FUCK 1500-2000$ for a short block (2.3L) :squint: After some research I want to put a 2.0L in it with all the sensor, intake, exhaust, ECM of the 2.3L ;) So here I am, a french Canadian on a budget to rebuilt a car without putting money on it :wiggle: So here's the car : Attachment 9082 Attachment 9083 Attachment 9084 |

will if your going to the 2.0 a few of the harness pins are alittle diff from the 2.3 , also would not be able to use the 2.3 pcm . 2.0 and 2.3 blocks look the same externallly but differnt internally . i see people using the 2.3 head on 2.0 block using 2.0 exhaust cam
