04 Mazda 3 Question
I have a 2004 Mazda 3 and I have the stock gps system that came with it and I have always wondered if there was a way that I could watch a movie thru the dvd unit I have in my glove box... or is there a way i can run a wire to make it work. I just want to see if it would work. Just let me know.

I gave visco 3000 to my car. Mehrab I think you mean to put this in a seperate thread, this doesn't have anything to do with the OP question about DVDs in his 2004 head unit. Moderator? |

I believe the 2004 mazda3 navigation unit is the popout kind just like the rx8. In my old rx8 I used the http://www.avelectronic.com/ unit to switch between the stock GPS and a dvd unit in the trunk. It was a nice setup although a little pricey. i know that there are a couple different options but this is still the highest quality one. Honestly the cleanest option is to pull it out and put a custom unit in. But if you want to maintain it as stock as possible I would look at the av nav switcher. They do say ALL (3/5/6/RX8/MPV/CX7/CX9) All with External Nav DVD as the mazda vehicles they support and I'm pretty sure the 2004 mazda3 does qualify. It's a little more complicated then just pulling one wire for video in. |
