Winter Tire Suggestions
 

Hi All:

Great forum.

For those of you that have put snows on your '04-'05 3 with the factory 17" wheels. What snow tires are you using? How have you liked them? What kind of winter driving do you do?

If you aren't using the factory wheels, did you get a wheel/tire package through someplace like TireRack?

Would love to hear what folks are doing for the winter. Appreciate the input.

Haha, it's almost spring! Although, we got hit pretty hard here the last few days.
See my sig...and so far, they've been great.

Last Fall I bought 16" Michelin Pilot Alpin PA2s for our 3. I bought them mounted on aftermarket alloys, since I've done the steelie thing in that past and got tired of looking like a cop car. Went with 16" for a little extra compliance and to save $$.

The tires were on the expensive side, but are quiet and handle nearly as well as the stock 17" tires. They're also great on ice and in snow. On the whole, a major step up from the Blizzaks I've used before.
