Windshield sprayer/spritzer freezup.

The left spritzer seems prone to freeze-up and/or clogging in sub-freezing weather. Is this normal? Any tricks for clearing it? The right front and rear (hatch) spritzer are working okay down to 15 degrees F or even lower. Yes, I have an anti-freeze/washer solution that's rated below 0F.

I don't know if this is the reason but I use rain-x anti-freezing windshield fluid and haven't had my windshield wipers or the spritzers freeze up.:)

0F at sunrise here. Drove 20 minutes down the parkway so the engine compartment was completely warmed up - stopped at a red light ... hit the windshield washers and now they're both working fine.

Did the same thing yesterday when it was about 20F and the left was clogged.

Maybe it was sunnier today...?

Still looking for tips to unclog .... maybe a hair dryer? Anything that can be used when "on the road" away from the house?

A hair dryer might do the trick...possible that you got some dirt or other crud stuck in your nozzle too. I would try a different washer fluid maybe...ive found certain brands to freeze up faster or at lower temps than others. I use the blue Rain-X stuff that comes in gallon jugs from wally world for like 2.50 or so. I live in wyoming, and its not exactly warm here in the winter and have yet to have it freeze up on me, or any of my vehicles for that matter.

Me too

I've had that same problem and my solution was to use them more often and let my car warm up first. This was not a big pain to me. I live in MA and so I have also had a lot of 0 degree weather lately.
