Who can I complain to?
 
Went to East Coast Mazda (Rt. 17 in NJ) and got great service and a really good deal- these guys really bent over backwards to get me the car I wanted for the price I wanted. That all went well BUT now I'm having problems with them.

First of all, they gave me only 1 set of keys the day I picked it up and told me that they couldn't find my spare but it would be in "next week"...that was about 3 weeks ago and still no key(and nobody has gotten back to me about it) !

Also, they charged me about $70 for registration and all that and they only got my plates in the afternoon of the expiration of my temps (after i called them for a week straight and one day the secretery said " well, you still have 2 days anyway" )

I tried complaining to the Customer Service Manager :asshole: but he never called me back either- WTF is going on with these people? I was told about some survey or something i'd get in the mail- is this coming straight from Mazda & would it do any good if i complained on that?

Anyway, WHO THE HELL SHOULD I COMPLAIN TO NOW?

Yup, you will get a survey from mazda directly.. I had problems with the dealership I picked mine up from. So I hope it actually gets attention from someone. Good luck with that though.

i got the run around from my dealership as well.... once the car is out the door, they really don't give a rats ass about you or your problems. fill out the survey and i would try the service manager again.... not sure what good it would do youl.

i got my survey about 3 weeks after i bought my car, as well as a courtesy call from mazda about 2 weeks earlier. i had a very pleasant experience with my dealer though (wilkins mazda in villa park, IL) so i didn't complain, but i would imagine it does mean something since my salesman and the sales manager both mentioned it and the dealership sent me a letter reminding me about it and asking for a favorable review (which i gave them).

mazda corporation will send you a survey form, just fill it up , write your comments, you may not believe it but it's true, they do value your reply specially if you got a bad experience with the dealership.., the people whom you deal with can loose their job...great...oh yeah.. :bt: and the dealership, they keep an eye on them,whoever is running it

Velocity -
Insist on that second key and remote/fob! You paid for it. And if you inquire, you'll find out that even the key alone is not cheap - because of the darned "immobilizer"/transponder chip in it. If you don't get a positive reponse from the dealership -- write a nice polite letter briefly reviewing your case and demand the second set. Send it by email and paper to the dealership, mazdausa - you might also want to CC the state attorney generals consumer affairs office and the BBB.

As far as the registration/paper work fee - you probably signed off on that on the contract - it seems that most dealers tack on $50-$100 bucks for running the paper work to the DMV and your insurance agent. If you had insisted, they would probably let you run the paperwork and bring in the plates, etc, etc -- which would have you hassling at bit and driving to the dealership a few extra times and the DMV, etc, etc.
