Sticking rear calipers
 

My bride's 02 Protege 5 has a problem with the left rear caliper guide pin freezing up. The last brake job I did on the car (about 25K miles ago), I got three of the 4 wheels done, then got to the left rear and found that the guide pin had frozen stiff. In "convincing" the parts to separate, I ended up breaking the guide pin, had to remove the caliper and send it to a machine shop to have it drilled out, then re-assembled with new hardware. About 10K ago, I pulled it back down to re-apply lubricant, only to find that it appeared to be sticking again. I got the noise stopped, but this morning I heard that dreadful sound of metal-on-metal coming from that same wheel. I am in the process of finding and ordering new rear calipers before tearingit down this time to avoid having it sit on jack stands for another week. Has anyone else had this problem? Any advice on preventing it going forward? Any hot leads on replacement parts? Thanks of the forum and any help...
