Skeptical ???

The old sayig is if it's to good to be true, it probably is!!

Check this out: http://cgi.ebay.ca/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?...MakeTrack=true

I'm a pretty cautious guy. I don't like to spend my hard earned money on junk and I don't like being taken like a sucker. However, this almost seems to make sense that it would work, maybe not to specs they are mentioning, but even a little better fuel mileage and a little more horsepower would be nice, for such a cheap price and easy isntall(geez, I'm starting to sound like I'm sellin the thing). I dunno, what do yuo guys think? Too good to be true or a cheap easy mod???

And if you think its a waste of time and money, please give a reason why.. Thanks, john.

i dont post on this forum a whole lot...but ive been on here for a long time. ill save you some trouble before all the protege "gods" descend on you. its pure crap and a waste of money. if i remember they actually cause worse gas mileage and offer no power gain at all. so id say just stay away from that. and if for some reason you dont believe me someone will probably drop in to back it up. also....the search button at the top will almost always answer your questions...its your best friend. almost forgot....welcome to the board....lots of good people on here.

thanks james, I will stay away from it. Too bad though......

Everyone here seems very knowledgeable for sure, its nice for a Mazda noob like myself having folks who've "been around the block" to help. I appreciate it.

John.

not a problem man...yeah its real easy going around here. the parts that bad about it is that they actually get people that buy these. like alot of the threads on these pieces is that if horsepower were that easy to have wed all have them. anyway i havent seen any of your other posts...what model do you have...anything done to it.

thanks for reminding me to update my sig..lol

wait, its not showing my sig info...

anyway, this is what I bought, and I do love this car......

definetly a gimmick. it sucks that people really buy that stuff only to find disappointment.

Roddimus Prime June-7th-2006 10:25 PM

think of it this way:

If it worked so well and was so cheap why wouldn't the manufacturer put them in on the assembly line?

Funniest part with these, a cable based tuner show dynoed a car with and without and found zero difference.

Now that same show has Tornado or whomever the predominant vendor of these things as a sponsor and pimps them every few shows. Disgusting but typical.

I've been using this phrase often lately:

Powerful
Reliable
Cheap

Pick 2.
