Replacement Tires for 3S 5 door.

Any tire recommendations with the tire mfr. and experience with replacement 205/50-17VR tires?
My Michelins are down to the indicators and have a loud highway noise.
My 3 has 63000 miles total, and this is the second set.
I'd like to get at least 40,000 miles on the next set.
I've looked at the Tire Rack web site, and I'm looking to replace the tires within a few weeks.

Thanks!

I've got only 2K miles on My 08.5 Mz3. But I've had really good luck with Kumho tires on another car. I got the Kumho Ectsa ASX (but in 205/55/16 size) from Discount Tires/Americas Tire (online). They were about a hundred bucks a tire.

They seem quiet and have great grip and look good with minimal wear. Have about 12k miles on the set and they still look good...

Americas Tire also has a great repair/replace policy and warranty, too!

I have Yokohama S Drives on my car and they have great grip in the dry and wet. The only thing is you have to buy winter tires if you live up north since they are summer tires only. I've had them on for about 5,000 miles so far, so I can't really say anything about wear. My dad also put Yokohama Avids on his car and he's put about 50,000 miles on them.

I got BFGoodrich g-Force Sport on my 06 MZ3 ST. They look great and perform really well. Kinda noisy tho. If you don't mind the noise they're pretty good for $500 OTD. I got about 26K miles on them and are almost down to the mark. I tried not to spin them often but oh well... They will go well over 30K if you don't spin them too much.

Which Michelins do you have and how many miles did you get on the last set?

They were Michelin PILOT MXM4 Ultra High Performance P205/50VR17 93V rated tires. On at 26562 mi, and Off at 64,005 so it was 37400+ miles.

I replaced them with a set of Kumho Ecsta ASX P205/50R17 W rated. So far so good, handling is good, and noise is way down with the good tread. I'll see how it goes twelve months from now.

A local tire shop had them installed for $503 including NC tax or $463 without.
The Michelins would have approached $700 with a sale discount at Costco.

Well I guess I missed the boat on suggestions. Anyway I have yokohama yk520 tires.

I'm in Winston so if you see an orange 5-door driving around with baptist and forsyth stickers on the back window it's mine. :)
