replace the interior light bulbs with leds
Has anyone here tried replacing the interior lamps with LEDs which consume next to nothing in terms of electricity.

Wow that is bright! I have one question though, filament lamps are inefficient and produce a lot of heat but they produce light in all directions while LEDs concentrate the light in a central spot which will not light the whole car interior. How did you get your LEDs to light up the whole interior? As far as I know LEDs need 3 to 5 volts to operate. Did the ones you have come with some sort of resistor to limit the voltage?

i don't know about the voltage part. the lights come as plug in modules for lack of a better word. i would imagine there is some type of resister in the package. i think the light in the hatch doesn't illuminate the area as well as the stock one did. i think in the cabin there are enough lights sources that they over come the directionality of leds.

Are the leds the jiant type or the normal sized ones that you would find on a new flashlight?
Where did you buy your "module" from? |
