Remote Start Behaviour
 

Hi I'm having an issue with my 2012 Mazda 3 remote start/security? system. When I try to use an aftermarket Compustar to remote start the vehicle there is absolutely no response from the vehicle for any function, doors, trunk, or start. Then I use the factory Mazda key fob to unlock the doors. When I open the driver door the parking lights flash. I can then start the vehicle using the on board keyless start. If I don't start the vehicle right away the parking lights will flash 20 times, pause, then flash 6 more times and then stop flashing.
The Compustar remote fob signal strength icon will appear only after I press a button on the fob, but it will then disappear. The fob battery shows fully charged. Any ideas? Thanks in advance.
