Remote Engine start

Hi i am about to purchase a new Mazda 3 S Grand Touring tommarow, and i was wondering if any of you know anything about remote engine start systems, maybe where i could find one cheap or i was also wondering if it does any harm to the engine/ignition or anything like that. I live in florida where its above 80 degrees for 10 months out of the year so starting up the car and getting the ac running quicker is what im looking for. Any help is greatly appreciated.

mazda has a remote start system for the 3, but it's only for the ATX. I think a few people have put remote starts in on 5-speeds as part of security/alarm systems, so if you're a MTX person then you might want to look into one of those.

I have one

I bought a Mazda 3 back in March 06 and had the OEM remote start installed for the opposite of your reasen. I live in Michigan it it's cold at least 4 months of the year. The remote start works great, although it cost about $130 more than the Code Alarm brand I had installed in my PT Cruiser. The key in either case is having someone who knows what they are doing handle the installation.
