Ramps for Speed3?

Does anyone have a source for ramps that can be used with the Speed3? I bought some Rhinoramp 8000's based on information I read in another post, but they don't fit under the MS3's front body treatment.

I have the same probalem. Here's my ghettofab solution:

Get a couple of 3 foot long 2x6's...2x8's would be even better. Just place the 2x6's about 1/2way up the ramp, basically extending the ramp by a couple feet. This should bring the approach angle down enough so your front lip won't rub on the Rhino Ramp. :).

Plus, if your cars as low as mine, you probably can't get a floorjack under there very easily. The 2x6's are thick enough to raise my FD up enough to get the jack under it. Just drive up onto 'em.

Another cheap fix...I've been actually thinking about making a couple of these. :tooth:

wooden ramps

Those wooden ramps aren't exactly a new idea, I've been seeing people use those to help level their RV's since I was old enough to walk. But anyone who beleives their line about "the stepped nature of the ramp" preventing the car from rolling all the way down the ramp needs to think again. Once the car starts rolling off one level its wieght will keep it going down all the steps. The saving grace of the length of the ramp will be that you should have enough time to get your head out of the way to avoid being crushed but that big of a ramp will send your car rolling quite a bit (not to mention most people do this stuff on a slanted driveway)
just my 2 cents.

Parking brake much? I don't know, but when a car is lifted I put blocks behind the rear tires and my parking brake on.

Can't be too careful with a twenty thousand dollar piece of equipment. I've never had a car roll away on me.

Well, I decided to keep the RhinoRamps and make some 2X fixtures to make them usable. I bought some 2x10s and ripped them down to about a 2X9 (they were a little too wide. I got some right-angle brackets to attach to the ramps (I was a little paranoid about them sliding off the ramps. I then put slits in the ramps by drilling a bunch of consecutive holes, and my extenders lock onto the ramps. I put the slots off-center so as not to interfere with the RhinoRamp center support that runs all the way down the middle of the ramp. Here are some pix in case I didn't splain it too well ;)

Did my first oil change at 1500. What a pain in the arse compaired to my 8! Oh well, oil changes are one thing I'll never trust to someone else. Gotta say, though, I'm not a big fan of cartridge filters.
