Panic Alarm automatically going off
 

Ok, so this morning I am getting into my 08 Mazda 3 GT and the alarm goes off. I figured I must have accidentally hit the button on my keys and hit the button twice to turn off. I shut the door and it goes off again. I get out of the car and open the back door and the same thing happens. It appears that the panic alarm goes off anytime that I open/shut the door or turn on the engine.

Very annoying. Its almost as if its some sort of alarm that was enabled.

I called the local Mazda service department and they confirmed that there is no alarm that comes factory installed and I would need to bring it in.

The only problem is that its 30 minutes away and I don't want to really drive down there honking the entire way.

Any ideas?
