New MS3 too

Thought I would join up as well. Just picked up a cosmic blue sport Thurs. night. Traded in my 03 Mach1 Mustang for it. I am quite shocked at the performance of this little rocket. I did plenty of research before going in but didn't think it would quite be up to the performance of the Mach. And while the published 0-60 times and 1/4 times are def. in the Mach's favor, this S3 feels every bit as quick as the Mach in all respects accept maybe the top end. Handles better, better shifter, light as a feather clutch, and close to 400lbs. lighter. The Mach's engine has been fantastic since day 1 and never a problem. However way too many other small things popped up the last couple of years and the overall quality of the car started to wear on me...plus the S3 is less expensive, better fuel economy and my insurance went down.......but the fun factor is there in spades just like the Mach. I'm an American car kinda guy...it was hard to part with the stang and I never would of seen myself in an import...but here I am and nothing but impressed so far.

Haven't checked out any mods yet but can't see myself wanting to do much. Probably won't do a CAI...don't want to mess with water scares/vapor lock..it's my daily. Don't know if a cat-back alone is worth it?? Maybe just a hi-perf. filter. But I'm brand new so I'll check around here and see what everyone is doing. I actually like the wheels quite a lot but I'm not sure how heavy they are. Look forward to joining in here.
