Newbie Intro...
 

Hello all. Really don't know how to start this, so let me intrudoce myself. my name is Rigo, I am the proud owner of an 04 Mazda 3(hatch) 2.3L. I was looking around the internet one day, and I stumble upon this site, I looked around and I decided to join, and here I am.

I think its pretty cool to have a forum dedicated to the mazda crowd. I live in a town thats ran by halfway built muscle cars, and stock Chevys, that apparently all have a car club of their own, so I really don't get much respect out here. Which I'm not hating on muscle cars, or trucks, or any other cars, I'm just saying most of the ppl around my area that own these are Douches.

I've always been a big fan of mazdas, since my first car 2000 Protoge LX, and when I decided to get my seond car, i didnt want to look elsewhere.

I guess thats it for now, looking foward to staying here a bit, saw some pretty sweet rides here. I'll post pics of my 3 when I actually wash it, its been raining alot, so no sense in washing it, when its gonna get dirty as soon as I pull out of my drive way.

Where are you from?

I know the feeling about lots of other cars having their own active clubs just in one city. There's an f-body (crap (in my opinion of course) stupid 80s and 90s GM rwd coupes) club that has like a hundred members every time they show up at any local car shows, and I just feel totally alone.. I haven't met a single other Protege modder in the area, and just ONe other Mazda enthusiast.

We all need to move to Toronto where www.toprotege.com has a VAST membership base even though it's all Toronto and southern ontario people.

haha, i live near there. and your right. im in the Toronto mazda3 club, and we had i think close to 30 members at our last BBQ/meet.
plus we have mini meets every night lol

I drove 9 hours to get to a meet that had .. 8 people? a few of them who had moved on from their proteges :P

I live in the west tx area. Odessa, tx to be exact, the city that the movie Friday Night Lights is based on (not bragging (trust me I wouldn't)) My old roomate lives in Conecticut, he has a mazda 6.

There are alot of 3s in my area, but i think the ppl that drive them don't really appreciate them. I saw a nice white one with black rims last night when I was out and about, other than that, I haven't really seen many enthusiasts out here. Its either f-body's, truck, or evos.
