New Mazda 3 Owner needs speaker advice

I just purchased a 2011 Mazda 3 5 Door without the Bose system and am looking to upgrade the sound system. I am looking for Components for the front but the front door speakers have a mounting depth of less than 2" and I am having problems finding quality speakers that will fit. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Did you know if you go to the bestbuy website or other electronic stores they let you fill in your cars information and it picks out speakers and subs that will fit your vehicle.

Honestly if you are looking for quality in a speaker setup I would opt out of going somewhere like bestbuy.

This is what I did:

Although I am having some problems with the tweeters sounding too bright in music with ALOT of cymbals, my suggestion (and what I am eventually going to do with my tweeters) would be to lower the tweeters down on the A-from a bit, or just fiberglass some kick pods.

Another option would be to buy a new set of tweeter sails and cut them up to make them fit your new tweeters. This quote is from bicycle_wreck @ mazdaspeeders.com, another mazda forum

You can buy some flat sail panels for like ~$10ea new. Cut'em up, mount your tweeters in the modded sail panels, and adjust your tweeter levels from there.

Good Luck!
