Yeah dude Iam in the exact same boat. I have my 04 mazda 3s and I don't have a whole lot of money to spend also little fuzzy on what stuff to add and what not, I know you guys are probably tired of hearing new guys getting on here asking these question, I gotta start some where. I want to start with an intake any suggestions on something thats easy on the wallet?

Welcome to the forum.
My suggestion to you both:

Plan ahead. Give yourself a goal of what kind of gain you'd be happy with. Save your money. Buy quality parts.
Search the forum. Most of your questions will be answered already.

Don't just throw parts on your car at random. Don't buy e-Bay chips. Don't buy Turbonators. Don't buy electric superchargers.

When you know what you want, and have the money to spend for it, I and other members and vendors will be happy to help you reach your goal.

hey, nothin wrong with throwing parts at your car at random (motions toward my sig)

yeah, I have a crapton of parts just hanging on the wall in my garage now, but oh well it was still a blast and an awesome learning experience :)

Would the easiest thing to start off with be the intake? I have been looking at the NOPI site and just drooling.

Yes, it doesn't get any easier than an intake.

Yeah , the intake was the first thing i did. K&N cold air. it was a pretty easy install, big difference in power. then i got exaust, i really want headers now. i was planning on getting OBX headers, but ive been hearing bad things about them now
