New 08.5 Mazdaspeed3 owner
 

Hello all. I am the proud new owner of a True Red 08.5 Mazdaspeed3 Sport. I found one near me with that was only 13 months old w/12,500 miles. Steal of a price too ($3k less than NADA retail).

I've been a car enthusiast for more than 20 years and I am excited to own such a stellar performing car. I've been stifled for the last 9 years in a mostly boring VW Passat V6 (manual tranny at least). It has been a good car with pretty good acceleration, but the handling was really soft, as you'd expect.

Prior to that, I had a nice 98 Coutour SVT which sadly was totaled at only 39 months of age by some punk kid who ran a red light. It was a pretty fun car, but the Mazdaspeed3 spanks that old SVT in every way (looks, fun, speed, handling, brakes, interior).

Anyway, I'll be coming around here frequently and will probably have questions at some point. I know how to search, so maybe not too many questions...

BTW, I'm in the Atlanta area, so I'll be seeing some of you southeast'ers around town.

Thanks. I am actually in a waiting game right now and its killing me. I bought the car Tuesday evening, but I'm not going to be able to pick it up until Saturday :(
