new 08 3i question
Hi all. Just got a 3i Touring. Great car - why buy a Corolla?
One question - and yes I searched using "windshield noise" - the only hits were in the Protege section. My car seems to have a rattle/clicking noise in the windshield/dash area when its cold outside. Of course, it was warm when I bought the car. Other websites indicate its a known problem to an extent, but no TSB or "fix" for it. Anyone here with more knowledge of the issue, and how to fix? It seems like its frustrating more than a few people. Nothing listed at Rosenthal's website either. Thanks! |
First off have you been able to dampen the sound by touching any panels?
The most common rattling sound from the dash is from the glove. compt. door. The next thing I'd check is the center dash section where the vents are. I personally occasionally get a rattling from my auto-dim mirror. It comes and goes without showing any real sign of why. |
I get some slight rattling noise from just beneath the center of of the LED display for the radio/clock. Pushing down in the very center of that panel stops the noise. It doesn't happen every day. I've wondered if I could get that open and put some double sided foam tape or something to keep it from rattling.

The noise I am talking about is different. Its a windshield ticking noise. Its on the outside of the car.
I am new here, am I allowed to include a link from other forums/websites here, to give you an example of what I mean? |
