Need to put an after market radio in
I just got this car. Im going to try to put a system in it in the next couple of weeks when Im on vacation. It has Sat radio and everything. Does anyone know if they make anything like a kit to put it in. The custom shop by my house wants about 300-500 to do something that doesnt look like shit
thanks in advanced |
I've only seen 1 mazda3 with an after market stereo/cd in it when I was first shopping for the car. It is very hard to replace the market radio because of the buttons for the SAT, Media, etc.... The car I saw had that part taken out and had a insert put their for storage. Didn't really care for it all that much. Looking around myself, I know that it is pretty expensive to switch out bacause it is a little harder than most stock radios. Good luck!

Good Luck
You just won't be able to replace Mazda's Radio or Message Center without it looking right or not jacked up. Mazda designed the thing with curves, its a unique design without sections and you won't be able to just take a section out of and have it look decent. If you do end up doing something please post a pic. Good luck.

I think this would look great...

yeah i would defintly steal that

That does look quite attractive bluntman...I bet its really expensive as if you mess with the sound system on an M3, you have to have a custom panel done. Lot$ of ca$h for that I bet, indeed.

there's a replacement for the radio piece available at your local neighborhood car audio store fifth-gear in brampton has it for $30.00 cad and meh boy at best buy heartland says they have it for $25.oo harness and everything but with an after market beck there will be no info, temp, and those other shite seen.

Single DIN brackets are cheap. Double DIN brackets are another story. The double DIN bracket and wiring harness that I linked to (the one in Japanese) apparently costs around $250 mainly because it maintains the use of the LCD.
