Need Help Identifying New Engine
 

Just had the engine replaced in my 2008 2.3 Mazda3 by the insurance company. They had a really hard time finding a good replacement but it is finally in and running. However, it looks different than I remember. I tried to find an engine stamp and saw something on the belt side of the engine that said L3 5V. I did some research and couldn't find anything other than the L3 VE and L3 DE 2.3's. Am I looking in the wrong spot or did they put some other engine in.

Also, the new engine runs well but now a belt squeals when I gas it. Idling and cruising there is no squealing though. The shop replaced a pulley and the serpentine belt but it still squeals. The AC is not on when this happens.
