Mz3 paint problems
Is anybody else having problems with water spots on their car? I have an '06 hatchback in copper mica red, and if I allow waterspots from washing or the rain to dry on the car, they seem to be etching into the paint very very slightly. I live in Sonoma County, Ca. so I don't think air pollution is the problem. I think the color is really beautiful, and I have gotten lots of compliments on it, but for some reason Mazda discontinued it for the '07 models, and I was wondering if maybe the reason was they had some kind of problems with it .

try drying your car with a shammy next time....that might help....
or the mr. clean auto dry car wash?? or maybe you just have hard water?? |
I do have hard water at my house, but it happens with rain water too, I do try and use a shammy when I can, but it isnt very convenient to have to dry my car off everytime it rains.

All red cars will eventually turn pink... it's a given. Maybe try clay baring your car

what about RainX??
my friend gets his Ford Escort done every other day (at a drivethru car wash) and the water just beads right off. we were washing it in auto class and the soap bubbles just beaded right off |
I heard about RainX from other forum posts. People always say it works really well. Where can you get RainX?
virbrio - it's probably acid rain + hard water. You'll want to dry your car after a wash and as for rain, you can't possibly dry it everytime it rains. Try the RainX if it's easy to come by and polish your paint at least once a year. =) |
my friend just selects RainX when he goes thru the Sunoco drive thru car wash

Oh i see... I'd like to get it in a bottle or something. Drive thru = paint swirl.

i know you can get RainX type stuff for your windsheild washers. so after you wash your windshelid, water will just bead off.
