Ms3 warranty mod questions

I have a 2012 Mazdaspeed3 crystal pearl and I have full warranty and I'm new to this site and want to know what mods I can do that won't void my warranty

All depends on the warranty you have for your vehicle. In my experience, if something goes wrong, they like to point fingers to modifications not done by the dealer or other and are limited.

However you could do such minor mods such as cold air intake, sway bar etc. But I'd suggest removing them if you bring your car to any dealer for repair.

Any type of "Performance Chip" will void most warranties. Suspension and engine work will do the same unless your car came with factory performance options.

If it's an after market warranty, some will send adjusters to inspect the vehicle before approving the work needing to be done, and some will not.

So I would be cautious. Some may say different.

Also the entirety of a warranty cannot be voided based on a single aftermarket modification. The Magnusun Moss Act requires a dealer to prove a modification caused an issue, or that it's very likely it did. So if you install a CAI and hydrolock the engine they probably wouldn't void it. If you install an aftermarket suspension and part of your wiring harness shorts out then they can't void the electrical issue based on the suspension.

The biggest issue is the dealer you might go to. I suggest talking to one of their service managers and see what their take on it is. Some are excited to be involved in owners modifying their cars. Others will try to take carte blanch with any modification and put everything off on you.
