Moonroof Deflector
Has anyone installed or have a moonroof deflector on their Mazda 3? I was wondering because I was thinking about buying one and how exactly it is put on or how hard it is to do so. ;peace;

I found that if you remove that stupid little bar that rises up when you open up the sunroof, it makes a WORLD of difference in noise driving down the freeway. Try it for yourself...open you sunroof, drive at a good speed, then press that bar down with your hand...viola...a fraction of the wind noise and it doesnt cost you a thing. I guess it was their sad attempt at making a built in deflector...it aint workin so hot!!

I installed one on my P5.
It's super easy. Basically 4 bolts that are easy to get to and work with. I have surf racks on my car for half the time and they were BUGGIN' on the freeway. I put on the deflector and the wind noise is still noticable, but much less intruding. |
just be careful with getting the mazda one- when i ordered mine, they sent the one for the sedan (i have a hatch) even though my dealer ordered the correct one. they are NOT interchangeable (roof curves differently).
