First of all, you're not broken in at 500 miles. For purposes of hard driving, most say you should have at least 1000 miles on the odo. And change the oil then.
For purposes of fuel economy and performance, it varies by the car, but it takes at least 5000 miles in my experience to reach full performance. Go easy until then; your engine will perform better and more efficiently for years. And keep your foot out of a cold engine -- always.

BTW if you have a Speed3, it is NOTHING like any jeep.
