Mazdaspeed 3 synchronizer/shift issues

I've owned my car over just over a year now. Needles to say I still have 2 years of full coverage warranty and 4 more years of drivetrain warranty. I've noticed since I've owned the car that every once in a while if I "push" the car by driving near high RPM (6,000ish), that my transmission will not shift right from 1st into 2nd or from 2nd into 3rd gears. It'll act as though I didn't depress the clutch at all. Grinding and just not going into gear. I have to back the stick out into the neutral possition and try again. About 50% of the time it'll go into gear (after losing accelerating momentum). Otherwise it'll grind again (as though I wasn't putting my foot on the clutch at all) and I'll have to back the stick out into neutral positon again and wiggle the stick from left to right a few times. This will usually do the trick. After all said and done, if I was in the act of accelerating quickly than that whole bit was killed and gone from the problem that I had to overcome. On top of all that I feel like I'm killing my poor baby by the stupid transmission not doing what I tell it to do. I've taken it in to the local Mazda dealership several times now and the first time they acknowledged it and said that it seeme like the synchronizers for 1st to 2nd and for 3rd gear wear not working properly. They told me they would have to contact higher to see what they could do or if they HAD to fix it (basically blew me off). I went back the other day after a few weeks and this time they acted like they didn't know what was wrong with it and said, "your car's issues are on file with Mazda's "tech nine" (whoever that is) and if more mazdaspeed 3's have this issue than we'll find out further what to do. Until then you just need to remember to not push the car too hard and that under "normal" driving conditions (meaning driving like grandma and not going over 3,500 RPM) there won't be any issues". Needless to say that I some discrepancies with Mazda's tech team here and hope there aren't any serious issues going on with the car and with Mazda's customer service. If any of you guys out there have any real issues similar to mine or have any idea what could be going on or what to do, please let me know! Thanks guys, Devon

syncronizer problem

My son had the same problem. Mazda replace the synchronizers under warranty. The problem reoccurred and the vehicle has been sitting at the local dealership for almost a year because they now refuse coverage. We are pursuing legal action. If there were enough complaints from owner, then a class action law suit would be in order.
