M3 2007 GT Sport with Manual - Amplifier install

Hey guys,
question about powering my amp which happens to be a small Pioneer unit that will sit under my seat. I have a GT Manual 5 Speed.

Which is the best location for running that power wire or Positive ?

Also I found this spot on the firewall which had a plastic plug in there. Not sure what this spot is or if its essential to the car or not.

It was easy to find a spot in my Tribute but this car is a little trickier for firewall spots.

Thanks

I haven't tried running wires from the engine bay into the cabin on these cars yet. But I'd recommend checking the firewall for all of the plugged holes and evaluate which one would be most convenient. Once you've chosen that, I'd attempt to feed the wire through as far as you can and then inspect on your back under the dash around where you think it should be. It may be best to look first with no flashlight to see if there's any exposed light coming from the engine bay.
Let me know if that helps and where you end up running it.
Goodluck!

I watched a few vids on YouTube and decided to run the power wire from the main gromet of the electric harness. I punched a small hole through and fed the wire into the cabin. I had to take out the glove box and ran the wire along the front passenger kick panel and along the runner board (which all popped out) . I then used an existing ground on that same kick panel with an O ring. The wires for the RCA and remote turn on wire are along the center console. All the wires go under the plastic and under the passenger seat. I just zipped tied the power wire so it wasn't hanging too much in engine bay.

Fired it up and my 12 inch RF Punch is working it.

I'll post a pic in a bit.
