Looking into buying a used mazda ... please help
I was wondering if anyone could give me some information... I am looking into buying a 2006 mazda 3 the dealership has replaced the battery, the tires, spark plugs and several other things totaling 1,480 dollars. Its appears to have been beautifully taken care of... the catch is that it has 77,455 miles.. and again is only a 2006. Nada puts an 11,650 clean retail price on it. But I cant find anything anywhere what problems 2006 mazda 3 s 's have particularly with VERY high mileage.. if anyone has any information Please let me know!

About the only serious problems I know of with '04-'06 models is the purge valve solenoid going bad, and the fuel pump. I had my PVS replaced four times, and after all that my fuel pump went bad. I know a member with a '04 who had four fuel pumps go out, though that's very odd. She currently has over 100k miles without any other serious problems that I know of.
Look HERE for recall and TSB information for all years just to get an idea of what Mazda's published. 77k is pretty high for a '06, then again if it's all highway that's a little better. I have just under 60k on my '05. |
